The reasons are the JR railroads withdrawal and the change in the sightseeing needs, etc Let us introduce "Mizunashiguchi" which is a side road of a thin woodland path It is wrapped there in "the effect of therapy" of the gorge and the forest from ancient times, and the stories of "Tatara iron making method(2)", Oota river and the manufacturing are asleep there. The proposal coming from those further validations can become the remake of the concept of the contemporary society where cooped-up feeling exists. "Sandankyo Tatara　Ｔourism Ｄeclaration" We have plans for putting out the mole cricket(liquid iron) by Tatara operation, the seminar, the ruins exploration walking, the panel exhibition, production of the commemoration objet, edit of pamphlets and the BLOG management as the continuous information sending. These attempts will make the declaration substantial. □Ｒｉｅ　Ｙｏｓｈｉｄａ （A chief researcher of Foundation Historical Village of iron regional promotion corporation foundation) Ｔａｔａｒａ Sugaya Ｉｚｕｍｏｎｉｓｈｉｋｉｙａ（Ｔａｎａｂｅ　ｆａｍｉｌｙ）has done the iron making in Yoshida in Okuizumo area from Kamakura period to 1921. In the Tatara that there is a number, Tatara Sugaya has continued to start operating in 1751, to invent excellent mole crickets, and to ship them to the whole country. Thanks to cordial management by the Tanabe family, Tatara craftsmen, and their descendants, the stately mansion exsists today and it tells an important figure as an only ruin in Japan for thinking about the history of steel manufacture at the early modern age. Our foundation was established by the purpose of correctly succeeding to the culture of iron that centered in Tatara Sugaya Mountain to future generations and we manage three museums of our town including Tatara Sugaya. Recently, from the change in visitor's needs, the course "Manufacturing University　in The　Historical　Village of Iron " was started to experience the blacksmith etc.. When I coah people for manufacturing experience, or interact with the participants, there are many learning awareness, and then I can not help thanking the wisdom of our ancestors and the benefits of nature when I get the raw materials like charcoal, sand and soil. Including a Japanese sword, the mole cricket is the subject matter that cannot be lacked in when making edged tools and Akiota town produced Zuku(1) which was material such as a casting or the agricultural machinery and dominated it as a maximum production center in the Chugoku district. Through this workshop which I had called out by a relationship of "Tatara", I think that I can find contemporary significance of Tatara as a part of the town interest. ＊Notes (1)Zuku; It is the iron lump which is different from the mole cricket in the ingredient.
